Un Grain de Soleil
I have a new blog! It's called Un Grain de Soleil, and you can check it out here. It's time I had some new inspiration.. I know I've disappeared from the blogging world as of late, and I have to say school has literally been my life lately. Somehow, creating a new blog made me feel like I was embarking on a new adventure, a new chapter of my life. I just hope that I don't continue to disappoint my readers! If you have a minute, check it out; let me know what you think. I always love hearing what you have to say!
Love,
Anh.

Quelle oie vois-tu?
I stumbled upon the loveliest Etsy shop today; Which Goose is a store run by Emily Zych from Maryland, who creates the most beautiful floral crowns and various other pretty items by hand. She also has a blog, which you can check out here. I just fell in love with everything in her store; it makes me want to run out into spring meadows with a summer dress and little wildflowers ribboned into my hair.. Although, I suppose nothing's stopping me... right?

Il y a un château féerique.
images found via weheartit
These images make me want to swoon from the fairy-tale-like quality. I would love to discover an abandoned castle one day and pretend that I have stumbled upon a secret enchanted world.. Now wouldn't that be the most magical day!
Speaking of adventures and exploration, I am off on a roadtrip next week with my darling mother for spring vacation! I have been looking forward to this for the longest time, especially after all of my final examinations. Oh, the places we'll go! Oh, the wonderful things yet to be discovered! I promise to indulge you with the secrets of my travels; I'll be back at the end of the month, so take care, dears. :)

What do you capture?
In my photographs I want to look at life –
at the commonplace things
as if I turned a corner
and ran into them for the first time.
- Leon Levinstein, 1954.
Photography is such a beautiful medium of expression. The more I blog, the more I become inspired by all of the beautiful things that these artists can capture in a single shot-- it's incredible! It makes me happy to know that there is such beauty in the world.

Une jolie boutique.
I just discovered this lovely little boutique called Kelsey Genna. Everything is hand-made and certain items are even customizable! Their clothes are so pretty; I feel like every day is a garden party in one of their dresses! I especially love their model for their lookbook-- does she not remind you of Alice In Wonderland?

J'ai une lumière fantastique.
I absolutely adore Mason Jars. Maybe because they are so simple. Maybe because they are useful in so many ways.. And maybe because they are stunning decorations. One day, I plan to have a garden party and hang Mason Jars with candlelights from every single tree branch. Ah, the brilliance of this beautiful light makes me beam with pleasure..

Rain, Rain, Don't Go Away
"well, it's raining
and it's pouring
and my old man
well, he is snoring...
rain, rain, don't go away
the sun can come back
another day
rain, rain,
please stay...
"
Priscilla Ahn - Rainy Day
I must admit my regret for-- once again-- another prolonged absence from the blogging world. School has been very busy as of late, and I have hardly had the chance to touch my computer! However, I look forward on catching up on reading all of your wonderful posts and comments!
---
In terms of pictures and beauty, I am constantly inspired by sunlight. However, with the constant downpour around here, maybe it's time I become inspired by the rain. These pictures, for instance, have such a melancholy beauty to them; it certainly is something to be admired. Maybe I'll try a hand at some "rainy day" photography this weekend; I'll be sure to share if I do!

Childhood morals
In so many ways, the lessons we learned as children are so very simply the most important ones we will ever learn in life. I love the profound message in this letterpress drawn by 6-year-old Koen and digitally-arranged by his father. The print can be found at Beast Pieces and was printed by Studio On Fire. Does it not make you smile, too? :)

Papier d'art
I recently discovered the wonderfully talented paper and copper pipe sculptor Anna-Wili Highfield. It is just amazing that she can create such life and beauty from something as simple and two-dimensional as paper. It inspires me to be able to find art in the things that surround me in life.

San Francisco, Open Your Golden Gates!
Ah, the lovely San Francisco! I absolutely adore this city; it's got such character, wouldn't you say? I love the hilly landscapes, and the fabulous shopping districts. And although I've lived in northern California for ten years now, there still worlds of discovery that awaits across the Golden Gates. Lately, I have been yearning to check out the thrift stores in San Francisco-- I keep hearing such wonderful discoveries from fellow bloggers! Hopefully I will get to go soon. :)
What's your favorite city? Why do you love it?

Swept away into a fairytale.
...and they lived happily ever after. How whimsical and interesting to have a wedding dress straight out of a fairytale! I absolutely love these photographs taken by Eugenio Recuenco. I think they capture a hauntingly darker--yet achingly beautiful-- side of the classic childhood stories we grew up with. Imagine walking down the aisle wrapped up in something as magical as that!
I am currently taking a Comparative Literature class for fairytales, and it is so fascinating to read the different versions from various cultures across the world! Oh, how it makes me wish I could have my own happy ending...

Monsieur et Madame 'Popsicle Sticks'
These adorable little figurines made by A.M. Victoria just make me want to squeal with delight; what a fantastic and innovative way to use recycled wood!

Blushing Roses
As of late, my favorite clothing color has been a pale, peachy pink. It reminds me of romance, blushes, and rose petals. Not to mention, it makes me feel instantly pretty.
What color do you fancy most?

Little Whimseys
Emily Dorn of Precious Meshes has caught my eye with her most delightful jewelry pieces. I especially love that bird nest... :)
Thank you everyone for the warm wishes for Snow Pea! He is making wonderful progress, but he is still being hospitalized with very attentive care. Your prayers have truly made a difference!

Please hear my prayer.
This morning my beloved dog Snow Pea was viciously attacked by a wild animal. Right now, he is in severely critical condition, and there is a chance that he may not make it through the end of the week. If he survives, there is a possibility that he will be paralyzed for life in his face and neck. Please help me pray for him and give him the strength to fight through this. He means so much to me, and I love him so.
