Let's shade in the picture.

These are a few drawings I did over the summer for an art class. It's too bad, really, that graphite doesn't show up on the camera quite as well as I imagined it would. But I think you get the picture.. My button shoes make me laugh- my teacher told the class on the very first day to grab a pencil and to sketch the shoes we were wearing in ten minutes! It was quite endearing, to say the least. :)

I really do apologize for the lack of posts recently. I have fallen ill with the miserable cold, and I have had so much homework it makes my head spin! But thankfully, life is getting back on track and I can focus on a quick recovery.

Valentine's Day is so much more than buying over-priced flowers and sending nicely-wrapped boxes of chocolates. It's about appreciating and loving the people and things in your life.

I wanted to say thank you so much to everyone following my blog. It really means the world to me that I have created this whole new community of friends in my life; I'm just about ecstatic with every new comment I receive. :)

Unlocking a mystery.

I believe there is a greater power to keys. I found a key the other day, and I wasn't sure where it belonged. But then again, that's kind of the fabulous mystery of it all.. Who does this key belong to? What secrets does it hold? What undiscovered treasure awaits us in the dusty attic up above?

It's quite funny, really, how absorbed people can become when it comes to football. My parents invited over our family friends yesterday to watch the game, and honestly, it was the first time I ever truly sat down to watch football. It was quite hilarious to see our friends bring out their betting charts and argue over which team is better. And me? Well, I just sat there, a little perplexed, and a little bemused.

Tell me: have you ever stopped to wonder why people obsess over football? It's something I have yet to understand...

After several unhappy weeks of being frustrated with my hair, I decided to take a chance. So I grabbed a pair of scissors, and swoosh! Now I have new bangs! Being spontaneous does have its advantages sometimes. :)

I'd like a cherry on top, please.

Yesterday my mother came home beaming, a delightful cherry pie wrapped up in her hands. Imagine my astonishment as she giggles and tells me that she paid one-hundred-and-fifteen-dollars for it. Of course, there was a reason behind the madness: her work place had held a bake auction in order to make donations to the Haiti relief funds. And of course, my mother was the highest bidder from the entire day. She was so proud of herself, as was I.

I do apologize for my lack of blogs recently. School is, unfortunately, terribly busy at the moment. I'm finally able to squeeze in a wee little break right now. :)
